When callers make comments on Whitt's show on The Fan that Whitt considers to be in the lowest one percent of intellectual output, he nominates them for the dubious award of being in "The 1% Club". Usually, Whitt gives callers one last chance to reconsider their ill-conceived arguments by asking them if they are "one percent serious" about the subject. This ended up being a failed bit.
