Early career

Shivers made his MMA debut on August 18, 2004 at AFC 2 - Alaska Fighting Championship defeating Luke Pierce via TKO. Shivers continued to fight in the Alaska Fighting Championship promotion until 2007 leaving the promotion with a record of 5-2-1.
