The Riding for the Disabled Association, also known as the RDA is an United Kingdom
based charity focused on providing horse-riding and carriage driving
lessons to people with both developmental and physical disabilities.
In additional to running international operations, the RDA is also a member of the international umbrella group, the Federation Riding for the Disabled International. In the UK, the association is one of 16 members that make up the British Equestrian Federation

As of 2010, the association has nearly 500 member groups representing over 25,000 participants and 18,000 volunteers.

History
The organisation was formed in 1965 called the Advisory Council on Riding for the Disabled and has 9 member groups. By 1969, it adopted its current moniker and had grown to a membership of 80 groups.As of 2010, the association has nearly 500 member groups representing over 25,000 participants and 18,000 volunteers.
