. The school currently represents Region 7-AAA in the athletics.

On April 27, 2011, Ringgold High School was heavily damaged by a F4 tornado. The Ringgold High Students now attend Heritage High School in the after-noons and Heritage students attend school in the mornings.

Football

The Ringgold Tigers have played 60 years of football and in that time they have managed to post an overall 254-343-8 record. The Tigers have only managed to clinch a state playoff berth three times; the first, in their 1989 season, which resulted in an 18-16 defeat to Cedartown High School

 in the first round. The second came in 2003 where they were defeated by a superb Tucker High School team in the first round 45-28. And the third after the Tiger football program posted an 8-2 record with both their regular season losses coming by a combined 4 points. The Tigers were once again eliminated in the first round, the loss handed to them by the North Hall High School

 Trojans by a score of 39-21. Their overall playoff record is 0-2. The Tiger football program have managed to post 21 winning seasons in the school's history.

Ringgold Tiger Band

The Ringgold High School Tiger Marching Band has been performing during the half-time shows for Ringgold Tiger Football for over 50 years. The first Ringgold band began with 25 members and has grown every year to now over 200 members. The RHS Tiger Band consistently has superior scores for their marching performances and has received the title of Grand Champion for many of their award winning shows, such as "The Roman Invasion" "Soldiers and Saints", "Symphonic Sounds" and their 2008 performance "A Latin Fantasy". The RHS Marching Tiger Band had the honor of representing the state of Georgia in the 2006 New York City's Veterans Day parade and was awarded "Band of the Year" in the Chattanooga area.

Baseball

The Ringgold Tiger Baseball Team has had one of the most outstanding seasons in school history, making it all the way to the GHSA State Finals vs. Columbus High School

 at Home and won the series in the three games. That set up a semi-final game at Oconee High School in which the Tigers swept the Warriors in two straight games. The Tigers are led by there strong pitching from junior Colton Cross, and Sophomores Matthew Crownover and Corey Kafka. Crownover is a Clemson University

Along with the pitching the tigers have gotten it done with their bats and fielding too, led by Senior Tyler Proctor, Juniors Zach Lance, Barrett Fontana, Erik Hull, Hunter Heath, Josh Riley and Caleb Jones, Sophomores Adam Weldon, Wright Hackett, Mark Fairbanks, Read Walden,and Mark Grey and the lone Freshman Austin Parrish. Parrish has been a surprise for the tigers this season making big plays in the field and at the plate. He helped propel the Tigers past St. Pius X with a bases loaded two out double down the third base line giving the Tigers the 9-7 win. The Tigers are coached by Brent Tucker, David Crownover, Jesse Cross, and Daniel Hackett. The tigers have finished 2nd in the state twice since 1954.
