Rob Chidley was born in Hastings in 1981, and raised in Dorset

 before studying English Literature

He returned to Dorset and took up a post teaching English in 2003 at his old school. He left the classroom in 2005 to get married, and moved to Warwickshire

In April 2010, citing a change in Canaan Press' business model, Rob Chidley ended the association. In addition to writing for Habitat for Humanity, he writes for the New English Orchestra in a freelance capacity and is working on a number of manuscripts of his own, including his first trilogy.
