Career
Hyland most recently played the "Immigration Officer" who asks tough questions of the title character in the film drama "Alma". Directed and written by award-winning filmmaker Yuri Makino, "Alma" continues festival screenings in 2009. In the comedy film "America 101", Hyland plays the "Border Patrolman" who does not believe the stories of the two brothers who are trying to turn themselves in and want to be deported out of the country. "America 101" was the winner of the Audience Prize at both the Golden Film Festival in Colorado and the Dances With Films festival in California. It was released on DVD in October 2006.
