Prior to the 2006–07 season, Schilder participated in the 2006 Johan Cruijff Shield clash with PSV Eindhoven which was won 3–1. A few weeks later he was sent on loan to Heracles Almelo
where he became one of the key players that played almost all matches and helped the team to prevent it from playing promotion/relegation play-offs with Eerste Divisie

Schilder returned to Ajax for the start of the 2007–08 season. However, after failing to impress coach Henk Ten Cate
and having played in only 8 league games, Schilder was once again loaned out to Heracles Almelo for the remainder of the season.
After the 2007–08 season Schilder signed on NAC Breda
after failing to stake his claim in the first team. He signed a four-year contract on June 30.
