In 2009 Roberto Prosseda recorded Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto in E minor, in the reconstruction by Marcello Bufalini (2006), with the Gewandhaurorchester Leipzig conducted by Riccardo Chailly (CD Decca 476 1525). This recording, released worldwide in Autumn 2009, won several prizes, including the Diapason d'Or and the CHOC de Classica.
In 2009 the Italian music publisher Raitrade published three music scores of Mendelssohn rare piano works, in a critical edition by Roberto Prosseda: 6 Fugues (1821-26), 4 Sonatas (1820), Fantasia for piano four hands (1824).
Roberto Prosseda is founder and president of Associazione Mendelssohn, promoting the music and the heritage of Felix Mendelssohn.
Roberto Prosseda is also co-founder and artistic coordinator of "Donatori di Musica", a network of musicians and doctors organizing concert series in Italian hospitals.
