, where it connects with the Union Pacific. When first constructed, the railroad ran from a connection with the Texas and Pacific Railway

and then westward to interchange with the Santa Fe
at Fluvanna
, a distance of about 32 miles (51.5 km). The tracks between Snyder and Fluvanna were abandoned in 1941, and finally the railroad abandoned the tracks from a point just a few miles north of Roscoe to Snyder in 1984. The remaining tracks serve a railroad car rebuilding facility alongside U.S. Route 84
