Background

Rose Garden was partly inspired by a difficult break-up. It is widely perceived that this song is either about Selena Gomez or family friend Maya Kibble. The song is also the first song on the album.

Music video

The basis of the video is a live performance of the song at the Wiltern Theater on January 28, 2010 during the Who I Am Tour.

Rose Garden is the lone song from the album that wasn't a single, but was accompanied by an official music video. The official music video was released on the EP of Stay; which was released as a digital download on iTunes.

On the Limited Edition DVD there was a video of Nick Jonas & The Administration (shot in black & white) performing the song.

On February 23, 2011 Nick performed the song during an acoustic set, accompanied by Jonas Brothers guitarist John Taylor.
On July 1st, Nick performed the song live during the Microsoft Store Grand Opening in Century City.
They performed the song on july 16th, during the Ottawa Blues fest.
On August 13, 2011 he performed the song at Musikfest
