Route 99 (MTA Maryland)

Route 99 is a bus route operated by the Maryland Transit Administration
in the suburbs of Baltimore
. The line currently runs from the Old Court Metro Subway Station in Pikesville, Maryland
to BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport, and serves Randallstown
, Windsor Mill, Woodlawn
, Catonsville, Arbutus
, Halethorpe, and Landsdowne, and the campuses of UMBC and CCBC Catonsville
(formerly Catonsville Community College). It currently operates Monday through Friday during peak hours only. The route's purpose is to provide riders in northwest part of Baltimore County a direct connection to the airport, the Metrobus B30 and the Intercounty Connector commuter bus route 201. The route, for the most part, is similar to the 77 line, except it utilizes Interstate 695
for a faster connection from Edmondson Ave to Security Blvd. It also utilizes Interstate 195
for a faster connection between UMBC and BWI Airport.
