 politician. The Hon. G.R.C. Hill succeeded his father as Master of the Shropshire Foxhounds, and founded the Hawkstone Otter Hunt Club in 1870, and took over the pack that year, continuing as Master until 1891. The Hawkstone Otter Hunt was started around 1800 by Sir Rowland Hill 1st Viscount, and was maintained within the family.

Lord Hill died in March 1895, aged 61, and was succeeded in his titles by his eldest son, Rowland.
