History

Rubicon Exotic was founded in 1982 by two ex-soft-drink-employees. They began to create their drinks in the kitchen of one of the founders, which they used as a lab. Their first product was called Passionade, which is a sparkling Passion Fruit drink. This was soon followed by Sparkling Mango Crush.

These days, Rubicon is the market leader in single flavour exotic fruit drinks in the UK.

Rubicon in 2010 won M award for the favourite Swedish drink of the year.

Products

The different flavoured fruit drinks are available in still or sparkling form. The still juices come in 1 litre cartons, 288ml cartons, and 300ml glass bottles. The sparkling drinks are available in 330ml cans, 500ml bottles, and in the case of the Mango

In 2007, Rubicon was the sponsor of the Urban Music Awards, with cartons of Rubicon available on tables for nominees. Rubicon has also covered Sky Sports' coverage of the ICC Cricket World Cup and World Twenty20 Championships, with the catchphrase "Time for a Rubicon break" often heard before adverts.
