Russneft is a Russian
oil refining company and one of the largest producers of oil products in the country.
The company operates two refineries in Orsk
and Krasnodar
, which have a combined capacity of 217000 oilbbl/d, as well as 100 petrol stations. Russneft is also an oil producer, having supplied in 2008 around 14 million tonnes of crude oil, with recoverable reserves of 1.1 Goilbbl of oil and 978 Gcuft of natural gas
. It also owns an oil terminal
with a transit capacity of 7 million tonnes per year.
In addition, Russneft holds a controlling stake in Slavneft, which owns the Mozyr Refinery in Belarus
with a capacity of 95000 oilbbl/d, and the YaNOS Yaroslavl Refinery with a capacity of 132000 oilbbl/d.
In May 2010, the company's major shareholder Mikhail Gutseriyev
announced that Russneft and Bashneft
will merge in two or three years.
