Rusty Kidd is a Georgia
State Representative who represents the 141st district of Georgia; which includes Baldwin County
and a small portion of Putnam County
. An independent, Kidd defeated his Democratic challenger, Darrell Black, in a runoff in December 2009 to complete the term of Bobby Parham who resigned for another post. Kidd won 64 percent of the vote to Black's 36 percent.
Kidd's family has a history in politics. His father, Culver Kidd, was a veteran state legislator in Georgia; and his sister, Tillie Kidd Fowler served as a U.S. Representative for Florida's 4th congressional district
from 1993 to 2001. Rusty Kidd won in the November 2010 Midterm Elections against his democratic opponent, Quentin. T. Howell with 57.3% to Howell's 42.7%.
