In 2006, Cabrera released a single called I Will Remember You. The song quickly got heard by television executives, and used as the closing montage for the entire series of Will & Grace. Soon after, another show requested to use the song as their good-bye anthem. The song I Will Remember You was used to send off the female contestants of So You Think you Can Dance's 3rd season. Cabrera was then asked to perform the song on the season finale and after he did so, the song cracked into iTunes 100 most downloaded songs. He then added a re-recorded version of the song at the end of his third record, The Moon Under Water.
