Ryan Ferguson is an Australian Rules Footballer
who played for Melbourne in the Australian Football League
(AFL) and currently plays for West Adelaide in the South Australian National Football League
(SANFL).
Recruited from the Frankston Dolphins in the 2002 National Draft
(fifth round selection; number 66 overall), Ferguson was a good contributor to the Demons as a tall defender and fill in ruckman.
Ryan did not feature in as many games as his career progressed due to numerous injuries he has sustained over the course of his career.
, saw him play 17 matches and kick 1 goal. For his efforts he was awarded the Harold Ball Memorial Trophy as the Demons best first year player. After missing the entire 2004 AFL season
through injury, Ferguson had his best season to date in 2005

On 15 October 2007 it was revealed on the AFL website that Ryan Ferguson had been delisted from the Melbourne Football Club after playing 47 games and kicking 6 goals in his 5 seasons at the club.
