Ryan Hall is a footballer who plays for Southend United

Hall caused controversy after being involved in a fracas at a five-a-side football tournament, which resulted in a security guard being hospitalised with facial injuries.
Hall made his Palace debut as a late substitute in the 2007–08
season and appeared again in an FA Cup
defeat before moving to League Two

on loan, impressing enough to have the loan spell extended for a second month. He returned to Palace having scored twice in eight appearances for the Daggers. He then moved to Crawley Town
where he pursued the same record as he did at Dagenham. He later on moved to Bromley
on a permanent basis. On 25 March 2009, Hall played as a trialist for Grimsby Town

On 16 July 2010, Hall signed a pre-contract agreement with Southend United
due to the club being under a transfer embargo. The embargo was lifted on 6 August 2010 and Hall's transfer was registered to the FA. Hall missed Southend's first game of the season against Stockport County
due to suspension after he picked up a red card playing for Bromley
in the last game of the previous season. Hall made his debut for Southend against Bristol City
in the League Cup
on 10 August 2010. On 15 January 2011, Hall scored his first goal for Southend after just 32 seconds against Rotherham United
in a 2–1 win. On 14 April 2011 Hall signed a two year contract extension with Southend. He then finished second in Southend's Player of the Year award, behind Chris Barker
. Over the course of the season he racked up more assists than any other player in League Two.
On 4 March 2011 Hall was granted bail pending an appeal against the severity of the sentence, and his sentence was reduced to 12 weeks, with the sentence suspended for a year, and 150 hours of community service.

Criminal conviction
On 3 March 2011 Hall was sentenced to 20 weeks imprisonment after pleading guilty to affray after an incident outside a Southend nightclub at the club's Christmas party on 19 December 2010. The court heard that Hall retaliated to racist comments made to him, and that he suffered a broken jaw in the altercation. Southend United insisted the player would not be sacked.On 4 March 2011 Hall was granted bail pending an appeal against the severity of the sentence, and his sentence was reduced to 12 weeks, with the sentence suspended for a year, and 150 hours of community service.
