History
- 1 January 1990: SCTV was started planning for television transmission form STAR TV owner, Rupert Murdoch an News Corporation.
- 1 June 1990: SCTV was test of transmission began.
- 17 August 1990: SCTV was launched as Indonesia's first television station.
- 24 August 1990: SCTV was officially began television broadcasting grand innaugurated open public born name Surabaya Central Televisi Indonesia with programming similar to that of RCTI based in Jakarta.
