The club, unable to pay professional players, tried to fulfil its League fixtures with junior players. Several heavy defeats resulted in the club not fulfilling three fixtures. Under League rules this meant disqualification.The club re-formed at the lowest level, Algarve League Division Two. This was won handsomely and the club promoted to Algarve Division One in 2006/2007 season. In 2007/2008 season the club was promoted again, this time to Portuguese Third Division
