1968 SEI created the first computer-simulated training technology for loan officers.1970s when bank trust departments were still largely functioning as a “paper and pencil” business, SEI developed a completely automated trust and investment accounting system.
1980s SEI integrated modern investment portfolio theory with comprehensive asset allocation models.
- In 1986 Gary P. Brinson, L. Randolph Hood, and SEI's Gilbert L. Beebower published a landmark study on investment policy titled "Determinants of Portfolio Performance," in the Financial Analysts Journal.
1990s SEI launched a wealth management operating platform for independent, fee-based investment advisors, which aligned advisors’ business interests with their clients’ investment success.
2000s SEI delivered:
