Société Générale Global Solution Center (SG-GSC) is the Indian subsidiary of Société Générale
group and is based out of Indian city of Bangalore
. It was set up as SG Software Asia Pvt Ltd on 18 June 2000 & rebranded to Société Générale Global Solution Center on 18 March 2006. It has been setup as a strategic arm of the bank and currently provides services in the areas of Information technology, Business process outsourcing and Infrastructure management services.
The centre today has 3000+ employees and has plans to grow further in the coming years. The entity in India conforms to the Group diversity principles and has staff speaking around 20 native languages and represents five nationalities.
SG GSC works for multiple business lines including Société Générale Corporate and Investment Banking, Specialized Financial Services, Retail Banking and Global Investment Management and Services.
The company has 3 offices in Bangalore- one in RMZ Infinity at Old Madras Road & 2 offices at International Tech Park, Whitefield. Its planning to open a new office in ITPL by the end of 2011.
