History

On April 28, 1961, Saad Esporte Clube was founded by the businessman Felício José Saad. The club was founded as a replacement for another club, São Bento, which folded in the previous decade.

Women's team

In 1985, the club started a women's football section, and four year later, in 1989, its men's football section was closed.
