#8, it is learned that he is half-brother to Wild Thing
(Rina Logan) and thereby the son of Wolverine
in the MC2 alternate universe. It is not known who Sabreclaw's mother is. Sabreclaw looks like a short version of Sabretooth
, but with Wolverine's hair color. Sabreclaw has claws, or talons, similar to Sabretooth's claws, as well. He has a healing factor
and enhanced physical capabilities basically similar to Wolverine's, and a violent temper to match.
Sabreclaw was eventually recruited by The Revengers, and was a member of that group during the events of Last Planet Standing
. When the entire Earth was threatened by Galactus
, the Revengers stopped attacking the Avengers and began helping them, realizing that they, too, were in danger. In the new MC2 series Avengers Next
, Sabreclaw, encouraged by Freebooter
, petitioned for membership in the Avengers. While the Avengers have not accepted him, he has assisted them, and the introductory artwork lists him as a member of the team.
