This colony was unauthorized in its earlier stages, as it was made on the agricultural land of Nasirpur & Dabri villages. Parts of this colony have affluent & influential people with it.Late Sh. Ram Kumar Yadav was a very renowned personality of the area. Yadav Ice depot situated on Sagarpur-Kailash Puri Road is a important location of the area. Although Slowly but it is now becoming an education hub / student colony as some of the engineering & professional colleges (affiliated to I.P. University or HRD ministry) like Hindustan College, IITM, IETE, MERI etc has started their sessions in D-Block Janakpuri
Institutional area which is exactly opposite to this place on Pankha Road. But due to unavailability of hostels seats, students of these colleges are staying in this colony as tenants.
Earning from tenants has become an additional source of income of households in main parts of this colony.
