Saint Georges is a pretty little village in the Coevrons hills with the river Erve running through it. From the 16th to the 19th century, 43 water mills in this and other villages had taken their mechanical energy from the Erve for milling, tanning, fulling, paper production, sawmills and forges. There was a forge by the river until the last century and local restaurant is called La Forge. There are also privately owned caves at Rey which were inhabited in pre-Gallic times.
