Sainthia is one of the busiest business hubs in the mid part of West Bengal. Textile, mustard oil and it's byproducts, handicrafts are renowned factor of the major business transactions. Besides the town is well connected to Baharampur, Siuri, Rampurhat, Bolpur, Andal, Asansol and Durgapur through high roads and railroads. That makes the town to be the business center of all sorts of goods distribution and transportation. Socio-economical status is quite strong and education ratio is increasing day by day.

Sainthia Town High School:- A H.S. level boys school in Sainthia estublished in 1959. Presently it has 24 teachers. Headmaster is Sri Tapas Ghosh (Tom).
Sainthia High School:- A H.S. level co-education school,established in 1928. Presently it has 42 teachers. Headmaster is Sri Arun Kumar Das, rewarded by State Govt. It was formerly for boys only. This is the only school in Sainthia where Computer Science & Computer Application subject is available for HS level, not only that 16 other Elective Subjects are available.It is the only school in the locality where Commerce Subjects are available.
Paharibaba High School:- A H.S level co-education school situated at the far east of Sainthia. It was the first co-ed school of Sainthia.

Sainthia is located at 23.95°N 87.67°E. It has an average elevation of 53 metres (173 feet). The town is situated in the bank of Mayurakshi river. Indeed it comes in the belt of maximum hot places of West Bengal.
