Early career

Daghles started playing basketball at age 14 during visits to local playgrounds. Being a competitive player, he made the Madison High School

 varsity in his first year. His team made the playoffs in his last three years of high school, even making the CIF Championship game in his junior year.

Daghles met an automobile accident in his early college years. This was before he got involved with a travelling team called High Five America. He would spend lots of time training with the team's coach Jean Heallker. Daghles's regimen would pay off as he won an MVP

 in his junior year. As a junior in the 2001-2002 season, he averaged 10.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, and a team-high 4.5 assists while starting 24 of 26 games.

Pro career

Daghles started his professional career in 2003 by joining the Fastlink sports club team in the Jordanian Basketball League. He would lead Fastlink in securing the 2007 league championship. In addition, Daghles is a two-time MVP of the Jordanian Basketball League for the 2003-2004 and 2005-2006 seasons. He also was voted best playmaker in the 2006 Asian Club Championships for leading his Fastlink team to first place.
