Sam Richter is author of the top-selling book Take the Cold Out of Cold Calling about Sales Intelligence and finding information online and using it for business and sales success. The book, along with its corresponding "Know More! Center" and "Know More! Toolbar" has received national attention including being featured in an internationally syndicated column by Harvey Mackay
, on CNN, in BusinessWeek, and in other publications. The book has been widely reviewed by dozens of sales experts and in 2008 was named a USA Book News Winner, and a Sales Book Awards Silver Medalist.
Richter is also creator/founder of the Know More! sales training and business improvement programs. The program, which has been incorporated at Fortune 500 companies, businesses, and associations around the globe, are highly ranked by attendees. Sam is also an international speaker on a variety of leadership, sales, and marketing topics. He is currently SVP/Chief Marketing Officer at ActiFi, a software and solutions firm for the financial services industry.

Following Digital River, for seven years, Richter was president of the James J. Hill Reference Library
in St. Paul, Minnesota. Under Richter's direction, the Library developed numerous online programs and expanded its reach to serve an international audience.
Richter is a graduate of St. Louis Park High School in Minnesota. In 2003 he was honored by the Business Journal as a top business leader under the age of 40. In 2007, he was a finalist for Inc. Magazine Entrepreneur of the Year.
