actor.

and Lauren Bacall
. He began his acting career in 1980 in an off-Broadway
production of Album, and made his feature film debut in director Paul Mazursky
's 1982 film Tempest. He married fellow actor Suzy Amis
in 1985. Their marriage produced a son, Jasper, and ended in divorce
in 1993. In 1997, Robards married Danish
model Sidsel Jensen, and they have two sons together. He is an alumnus of Sarah Lawrence College
.
Robards appeared alongside his father in 1988's Bright Lights, Big City
, in their only film collaboration together. (His father died in 2000.) He costarred with his mother in the 1993 Robert Altman
