 in the early in the 1950s. The three cousins all named Mario Rufo arrived in 1952. During the 1950s one of the Mario Rufo was joined by three of his brothers ( Nino Rufo, Cesidio Rufo and Basilio Rufo) and in 1960 one of his sister also migrated (Donata Rufo). In 1962 his father, Andrea Rufo together with his wife Caterina Rufo (née Tempesta), and the remaindser of Mario's siblings (Antonio Rufo, Rachele Rufo, Aldo Rufo, Lauro rufo and Duilio Rufo) also migrated and thus the whole family was reunited.

The Rufo have all setted in Newcaslte, NSW.
