Sankeshwar is well connected to Karnataka, Goa and Maharashtra by National Highway No.4 by Road. Nearby railway stations are Belagavi (50 km), Ghataprabha (32km) and Kolhapur (64 km). Belagavi has airport which has flights from Bengaluru and Mumbai. Sankeshwar has a bus depot and a bus station located on old Puna-Bangalore road. Everyday around 1000 Buses depart from Sankeshwar and more than 4000 arrive and pass by Sankeshwar.
