Santa Eulalia is a town
and seat of the municipality of Aquiles Serdán
, in the northern Mexican state of Chihuahua. As of 2005, the town had a total population of 2,089.
Founded in 1652 by Diego del Castillo, it is one of the oldest settlements in the state.
Mining began in the Santa Eulalia Mining District in the early 1700's. Early production was primarily silver. More recently, the mines have produced zinc and lead. Production has been intermittent since the 1990s.
