Saracen was a 1989 ITV
action drama about a private security firm of that name.
They operated both in the UK and abroad, usually Africa, but could only carry firearms when on foreign missions.
This was a glossy, expensive film production, perhaps intended to bring back the success of previous ITV action drama like The Professionals
.
It was not a success however, and only one series of 13 episodes was made.
The two male leads were Christian Burgess and Patrick James Clarke.
