Anderson was first elected in 2006, succeeding three-term Rep. Jeff Johnson, who ran for Minnesota Attorney General. She was re-elected in 2008 and 2010. She is currently a member of the House's Commerce and Labor Committee and Taxes Committee, and also serves on the Finance subcommittees for the Environment and Natural Resources Finance Division and the Higher Education and Workforce Development Finance and Policy Division. She is an assistant minority leader
