Drew received a Bachelor's degree in Drama from the University of Virginia

Drew and her husband, Peter Lanfer, a Lecturer at UCLA and visiting faculty at Dartmouth, reside in Los Angeles. Drew is good friends with fellow Everwood star Emily VanCamp
