. The song presumably evolved from an earlier song Matthews wrote entitled "After Her," which can be heard on a 1991 bootleg. There are no known versions of "After Her" performed live by either Matthews or the Dave Matthews Band. The guitar part for this song evolved from a finger exercise that Dave Matthews
used to do.
