Demographics

As of the 2001 census of India, Savar Kundla had a population of 73,695. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.

There is a major presence of people with the surnames Kanadia and Chudasama in Savar Kundla.
From year 2010,Now the population of Savar Kundla has increased to around 1.25 lacs.

Geography

 plateau. it has a hilly terrain. ground water table is very low. The water contains high level of TDS counts along with excess level of sodium and phosphate. The water extracted from the bore-wells is found to be very hot.

Economy

Savar Kundla is known for producing weighing scales. One third of its total population is one or the other way connected with this industries. It is the only manufacturer of the weighing scales in India except the electronics weighing balance. Currently, it is emerging as an assembling hub for electronic weighing scales. But unfortunately government have shown little interest in the development of these Business.
Savar Kundla also famous for fruits like Gwawa (Jamfal) , and tasty vegetables. Main source of economy is agriculture. cotton and groundnut are the main corps cultivated by farmers. Rain is main source of irrigation. No industrial development in Savar Kundla took place because of some political leaders. In this year 2009 one power project established that is first and only pvt.ltd. company. However there are great opportunitities for some industries like iron industries, cement product industries, dimond industries, But till know no leaders successfully attract interest of the state government. So till today savarkundla have no GIDC.

Education

Savar Kundla has an average literacy rate of 65%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 72%, and female literacy is 58%.

There is a building named Darbargadh in Savar Kundla which is believed to be made by Jogidas Khuman from Ambardi village near Savar Kundla.

Savar Kundla is famous for herbal fireworks. On the night of Diwali
