The song is one of the two family songs on Lead Me On. It uses analogies as well as a direct reference to the singer herself. The first few verses talk about a woman named Laura, who "loves her little family." According to the song, "she's kind of woman/who loves them with her life." The analogy is that Laura is "queen of the world," yet still loves her family more than anything. After the chorus, Grant talks about her love for her family. She says that there's "nothing quite like my family's love to warm me," and "nothin' short of death's ever gonna leave me cold."
