Sawaare Sabke Sapne Preeto (SSSP) is an Indian television series that premiered on Imagine TV on July 4, 2011. The story is setup in a Punjabi
backdrop, and is based on the lives of 5 sisters. Set in the picturesque north Indian town of Amritsar, which is also an Indian Airforce base, this is the story of the quirky yet lovable Dhillon family which now resides in a run-down mansion having moved to India from Pakistan after the Partition, a generation ago. In many ways the Dhillon family is a typical lower middle class Indian family.
At the head of the family is retired school master Gangandeep Dhillon who lives with his wife, Kanwal and not one or two but 5 daughters! The eldest daughter is called Meeta, followed by Ishmeet, then Preeto, Bani and the youngest is Sonu.

Sawaare Sapke Sapne Preeto, is a story about a girl who takes the reponsiblity of the marriage of the older sister and education of the younger ones. At first Meeta is going to get married to Bobby Sign but doesnt because later it is reveled that he was harrasing Ishmeet. Later in the story an airforce officer Rajbeer enters Preeto's life. They have some issues at first but later they fall in love. Same for Ishmeet, she falls for Dhruv, another airforce pilot. Later in the story, Dhruv's parents don't like Ishmeet because she comes from a poor family. Dhruv learns the truth and so does Ishmeet's family. Preeto and Rajbeer declare their love to each other. But, at the same the same time, Preeto's dad looses his job. At the end of the day when Rajbeer comes to drop Preeto, Preeto finds out that her dad met an acident. The next day, she breaks up with Rajbeer because she believes that she is responsible for her dad's acident. But, Rajbeer replies that he will never her alone, and will always stay beside wether she needs him or not. Simran, Dhruv's sister enters. At Dhruv-Ishmeet's wedding, Simran and Preeto hook Rajbeer up with Bharti(Simran's best friend). Rajbeer gets upset and tells Preeto that she is the only girl who has come in his life and will stay in his life.
