The Scarlet and Black, or the S&B, is the official college newspaper at Grinnell College
. It is the first college newspaper west of the Mississippi River. The newspaper, typically 16 tabloid pages in length, is published in print and online at www.thesandb.com. Students, primarily, write the newspaper, although occasional letters from alumni or faculty are included. Funding comes from student fees and advertisers. Its current editors-in-chief are Devin Ross '12 and Solomon Miller '13.
Grinnell is also home to the unofficial "B&S," which features satirical, made-up articles about current events both on and off campus.
