This comic strip appeared in British newspaper The Sun during the late 1960s, as a spin-off from Garth

 which featured in the Daily Mirror. The creators, Luis Roca (illustrator) and Jo Addams (writer) changed the Scarth comic in 1972 to become Scarth A.D. 2170. Les Lilley is also credited with directing the storylines of Scarth.
