n that lived in the Cretaceous
. The namesake of the Mesozoic
suborder Sclerorhynchoidea, it is not quite clear whether they were closer to the Rajiformes
(skates and rays) or to the Pristiformes (sawfishes). Its fossil

might actually belong in Sclerorhynchus.
