Biography

Barrett suffered a detached retina in November 2008 while training for a December fight with Donavin Hawkey in South Africa. The potentially career-ending injury required surgery, but he was able to recover and return to active competition. He lost his first fight after the injury on February 20, 2009 to heavyweight prospect Chad Corvin
