, which was an $8m movie shot in the UK and Bulgaria. The film starred Robert Carlyle and Ving Rhames and Ian Sommerhalder. The film was produced by Keith Bell.

The Weinstein Co and Entertainment released the film in the US and UK respectively and the film has now been released in most territories worldwide. The impressive action direction and use of a limited budget to make the film look more expensive that it's actual production cost earnt Mann a wealth of respect amongst Hollywood colleagues and led to Harvey Weinstein and Bob Weinstein offering him the chance to Direct the $60m remake of the Akira Kurosawa movie Seven Samurai. He is due to direct this in 2012.

Scott also co runs Mann Made Films, a UK production hub for genre films and is known for developing new directorial talent from the north of England. His Producer / business partner and Composer, James Edward Barker, also runs the company with him. They also co own Barker's original music and production outfit, Veneration Music, through which Barker produced Noel Clarke's 4.3.2.1 movie with Icon's chief Stewart Till. The duo also own Boys With Toys, an action label producing films by Scott and other directors including Neil Marshall.

Before making feature films Mann directed several award winning short films, including Chaingangs (2003) and Tug Of War
