The modern settlement is a series of cottages and a small terrace of houses strung out along Scottlethorpe Lane between the modern village of Edenham and the site of the medieval chapel.

There were several medieval chapels in the area, and Scottlethorpe has substantial remains now used as part of a barn. There are conflicting theories about how large the original monastic settlement, if indeed there was one, was and what might have been re-located from Vaudey Abbey
