The Scunthorpe Scorpions are a speedway
team in the British Premier League
. After three successful years in the Conference League the side were accepted into the Premier League
for 2008. A new team, the Scunthorpe Saints, was formed and will continuing riding in the Conference League
with the main aim to develop riders for the Premier League side.
The club also run more speedway events than any track in Britain with a wide range of amateur meetings, open practices and mini-track sessions providing excellent opportunities for riders to gain track time and develop their skills.
