Seaford Head Community College (SHCC), in the town of Seaford, East Sussex

school for students aged 11 to 16 years.
It has over 1200 students, and formerly had a sixth-form, from which its last students left in 2009. The closure was due to increasing competition from the larger, and expanding, Sussex Downs College
conglomerate. The school was in Ofsted special measures from 2004 to 2006. An Ofsted inspection was carried out in October 2010 and the school was judged "Good with many outstanding features" and will be reassessed in the next 5 years (2015 at the latest). The school is a Specialist Science & Sports College, holding the Sport England Award Sportsmark
. It also holds the British Council International School Award and the ArtsMark award from the English Art Council. It is a part of Healthy Schools East Sussex, which promotes healthy eating and lifestyles, and is a member of the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust.
In 2010 Seaford Head submitted an Expression of Interest (EoI) to the Department of Education in becoming a trust school; as of November 2010 the process is in the second consultation period.
