Unlike other Rajdhani trains, this train runs only once in a week. 12438 Sec'bad-Rajdhani express departs Hazrat Nizamuddin on Sundays at 16:00 hrs and reaches Secunderabad the next days at 14:00 hrs. In the return journey, 12437 express departs Secunderabad on Wednesdays at 12:45 hrs and reaches Nizaumddin station the next morning at 10:20 hrs.
Though this train runs once a week The 12429/30 and 12493/94 Bangalore rajdhani run daily through this station (Both connecting Nizamuddin). Hence Secunderabad enjoys three Rajdhani express which combined makes up 8 Rajdhani trains a week.
