The Segunda División is the third level of the Mexican football league system. The Segunda División (Second Division) is divided into two leagues, the Liga Premier de Ascenso (Promotional Premier League) and the Liga de Nuevos Talentos (League of New Talents). The season is divided into two tournaments, Torneo de Apertura (Opening tournament) and Torneo de Clausura (Closure Tournament).
